Rating by category:
Lots of activities for kids including a massive pool complex. Safe. Handy for the train station. Nice lake views if you have a room overlooking the lake.
Very expensive - particularly if your room rate does not include entry to the pools, saunas, gym etc. Limited food choices, very bad for vegetarians. Housekeeping staff grumpy and not very thorough. Standard rooms almost laughably ill equipped (eg no plug in the bathroom basin). Hard walk uphill to the main ski lift.
The close proximity of skislopes, shops, cafes and restaurants, train and everything. It has a very sentral location wich is nice. Very nice room and colourscheme of furnitures and the room. Nice, big bathroom.
Much noise from the hallway in bothn nigttime and the morning. Both guests who where out on town and children in the morning made a lot of noise.
Nice integration with a spa (In the building). Ski rental in the building.
Location is a bit off. (a bit). The planning of the hotel allows too big exposure of staff continuously (maids, cleaners, staff carrying boxes etc.).
Food , good for families,
Very cold on the room , had to use very much clothes in the room . The radiator system was not in use . Bad way to save money . Big disapointment
Hotell looks fancy, and it gives wrongly good expectation about it. Reception desk refused to provide 2 pills of paracetamol to me (I am a pregnant woman and felt myself bad), they told me to buy a package of pills in the 24hours shop close to the reception desk. Reception desk refused to help with providing the freezer for our products that we had with us. They said we should contact the hotell's restaurant by ourself. Is it a normal behaviour of the reception desk? It's their job to settle us in the hotel and help us with our needs! Bathroom is big, but incredibly cold! No heating in the floor, and floor is covered with cold glazed tiles. Not possible to get more or less hot shower: when you add hot water, shower returns water temperature back to just warm, and I was not able to warm myself up in the shower! There is only one heater in the room, based on the hot water, it was set to max temperature, but it was barely warm. Room was incredibly cold! (Beginning of November 2011). tv is hanging not in front of the bed, but in front of the sofa, far away from the bed. Why a room for only 2 people designed to watch the tv in the cold sofa, not in the bed? No kettle or no even normal glass cups in the room. Only couple of plastic cups in the bathroom! The swimming pool closes already at 20:00, and opens only at 10:00. That's too early in the evening! We arrived exactly at 20:00, and at 11:00 we were leaving the hotell, and had no possibility to have a visit there. Restaurant closes already at 21:00! Poor choises in the evening menu! Very bad hotell!
Bad smell at the bathroom!! And the doors in front of the shower was unable to open/close!
Swiming pool should be opened more then 8.00 P.M. (at least up to 10). Bowling from 10 P.M. to 11 or even midnight.
It is near the train station and is connected by an internal bridge! Clean, great facilities! Everything you need!
It is the first hotel ever that I have visited and has a check in time at 16:00!
The room is spacious and agreeable. It is simply but very conveniently and comfortably furnished. The spa is just around the corner. The reindeer steak at the restaurant was delicious.
The view from the window was to the railway station and as it was on the ground floor, so nothing spectacular. It takes 10-15 minutes uphill to get to the nearest lift, so it is quite long considering the wight of the skis.
well designed, comfortable hotel, polite and ready to help recepcion
Everything is ok but cleaning of the room and poor breakfast.
Quite good for families, lots of children. Not for pairs or solo tourists, children are all around. Good massage in the spa. Dinner is nice. Rooms are big.
Lunch is bad.
Lakeside rooms were very comfortable and had great views.
The increadibly charming and very helpful Hampus ( and all staff ) in the ski rental shop that is conveniently in the hotel. Super servcie in both their shops. The ski locker room - spacious and very convenient. The spa is very nice. Hotel has all facilities you could ask for. Great breakfast buffet.
It is very "young children" family oriented. It can be difficult to find a calm corner. The quality of the a la carte restaurtant was very good but somewhat limited. The Thai food was not Thai quality nor taste. Very lovely people though.
For big problems, the staff was very helpful. BUt for little things, they were totally unhelpful. For example, expecting a guest to get dressed and go to the reception to get batteries for a tv remote control?
Breakfast was boring - after a few days of the exact same limited choices, it was directly unappetizing. And why was the big dining room with the gorgeous view closed for breakfast? Instead, we had to have our breakfast in a very dark and crowded dining room. Holiday club is too far from lifts/slopes. It took a long time to walk and bus to the slopes, and it was difficult carrying skis back and forth. The buses are too infrequent and crowded.
Our room was in front of the elevator and it was very noisy.
